San Francisco is part of SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business," a national nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of the nation's small businesses.

San Francisco provides free and confidential business advice and counseling tailored to meet the needs of your small business and your personal objectives. San Francisco also offers workshops, for a modest fee, for both start-up and in-business entrepreneurs.

SCORE volunteers are real-world professionals with time-tested knowledge who donate thousands of hours to help small businesses succeed.  Counselors are experts in such areas as accounting, finance, marketing, management and business plan preparation.  We have assisted many clients in obtaining business loans.  The volunteers of San Francisco have rich and varied business backgrounds. Counselors share their business experience and knowledge in all aspects of small business. They are located at both the San Francisco location, and at several of the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce offices, by appointment.  All counselors have specific areas of expertise.  Meet your San Francisco Volunteers.

The Bay Area is served by five chapters including the Silicon Valley SCORE, which serves Santa Clara County.  San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties are served by the San Francisco SCORE chapter, the North Bay is served by the North Coast SCORE, the East Bay is served by the East Bay SCORE, and Santa Cruz county by the Santa Cruz SCORE.
