Job location: Fully remote (can be based anywhere in the U.S.)

Annual salary range: $163,000-$221,000

Responsibilities:

● Develop data processing pipelines to collect data from third-party security services.

● Perform software system design and architecture.

● Perform data analysis and data modeling on integrations.

● Work with CI/CD workflows and code source control.

● Design, develop, and manage new product functionality and infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling. 

● Build products that meet customer needs and infrastructure that enables Vanta to scale.

● Work with engineers to make a significant impact on Vanta’s customers, enabling them to improve their security. 

● Extensively utilize modern technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Golang.

● Stay updated regarding new developments in software engineering, particularly in the field of security.

● Perform other related duties.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: 

A bachelor’s degree or its foreign degree equivalent* in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of experience as a software developer, data engineer, data scientist, or in a related position/occupation. In addition, the position requires 2 years of experience with: 

• Designing and developing high-scale production systems.

• Participating in and driving improvements to a software development lifecycle.

• Reviewing and improving code submitted by peers with a focus on software architecture and quality.

• Mentoring other engineers.

• Participating in an on-call rotation to detect and resolve issues in production.

• Working with stakeholders to design systems and products that meet customer needs.

• Leading complex technical projects involving multiple contributors.

• Python or a similar programming language.

• SQL database technologies.

• Optimizing database usage patterns.

• Working with third parties to integrate software systems.
