Job location: Remote (can be based anywhere in the United States)

Annual salary range: $161,000-$217,000

Responsibilities:

·       Design, develop, and own new product functionality or infrastructure leveraging modern frameworks and tooling.

·       Build products that meet Vanta’s customers’ needs and infrastructure that enables Vanta to scale.

·       Deeply understand Vanta’s customers and market to build solutions addressing key pain points and opportunities for competitive advantage.

·       Work with other engineers to impact Vanta’s customers, enabling them to improve their security.

·       Contribute to building Vanta’s engineering culture.

·       Perform other related duties.

Job Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree or its foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of experience as a software engineer, software developer, or in a similar role/occupation. Prior experience must include:

·       2 years of experience working with modern frameworks and tooling such as or similar to TypeScript, React, Node.js, or MongoDB.

·       2 years of experience performing full-stack engineering.

·       2 years of experience designing simple, flexible, reusable components that are testable and debuggable.

·       2 years of experience conducting efficient and effective code reviews that uphold a high-quality bar.

·       2 years of experience effectively documenting code and systems for others.

·       2 years of experience acting as an effective technical lead in resolving incidents.

·       2 years of experience debugging issues, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions grounded in findings.

·       2 years of experience participating in on-call rotation to independently detect and resolve issues in production.

·       2 years of experience writing unit and integration tests.

·       2 years of experience investigating and fixing application performance issues in the database, API, and frontend code.

·       2 years of experience translating strategy set by others into achievable milestones and units of work for projects.

·       2 years of experience leading projects that involve contribution from other engineers towards final delivery without jeopardizing quality.

·       2 years of experience creating coherent designs with multiple components interacting across API or system boundaries.
